Tanika Baptiste

Tanika was born and raised in San Diego, CA and has been on stage since age 6. An alumna of the University of California, Davis, Majoring in African American Studies, she continued her artistry and has performed all throughout the state of California. Always a crowd favorite, Tanika credits her native New Orleans mother as her first and significant vocal influence as well as her father’s Trinidadian roots for her electrifying sense of pulse and rhythm. While living in northern California, Tanika sang lead and co-lead vocals for various bands including rock, soul, reggae, and hip hop. Her songwriting garnered the attention of Brian Alexander Morgan of Sony Music and Entertainment, Platinum Producer of numerous Number 1 hits included the legendary SWV album Its About Time. Recently, Tanika was named the Broadway World San Francisco 2019 Person to Watch Female. She also works as Director and Producer in the Bay Area. She is also a proud member of the Actors Equity Association.
